Our Friends in the U.S. can Now Make U.S. Tax Exempt Donations for U.G. Proi's Bosnia Drug Prevention, Rehabilitation and Therapeutic Community Work

You can help U.G. Proi support and expand its work in drug education, prevention and treatment by helping us maintain needed projects we have established to help those without funds who are struggling to recover from drug addiction.

Our current services include: identifying, assisting and motivating drug addicts and encouraging them to "choose recovery". We do this by providing referrals for HIV treatment and prevention, by providing counseling,  and an opportunity to enter our mountain top self-help therapeutic community. The Therapeutic Community charges recovering addicts or their parents only $250 per month for room, board, meals and treatment which is all that most can pay. U.G. Proi's actual monthly cost to provide housing and services for one recovering person is actually $1,000. Our organization must raise or generate $750 each month (through fund raising and farming) to provide this needed service to those addicts wanting and needed this recovery opportunity. We also visit patients in hospitals, organize discussions and lectures for youth and their parents, and provide drug prevention advice and education to children, youth and parents. All of these services cost and are subsidized by U.G. Proi throug private support. Your help is critical and urgently needed if we are to continue this important and needed work and service to communities and our country.

Our mountain-top therapeutic community depends on donations and self-help farming efforts. We have no ongoing government support or permanent income other than what people contribute and what services and products we can market. Our operating costs are moderate but ongoing. We now receive some help from  the parents whose children are in therapeutic community and from some donors in Bosnia and elsewhere. Our aim is make our mountain top TC a sustainable, self-supporting  program where addicts can come and help themselves through self-supporting income generating activities in agronomy, cattle raising and local construction trades and services. 

UG PROI has now obtained the endorsement of Support Centers International Inc.
